Henry Schein aids relief efforts in Western Europe for communities inundated by severe flooding

Company commits to donations of more than $150,000 in cash and health care products, including the match of employee contributions

MELVILLE, N.Y., September 30, 2021 – In response to the devastation caused by severe flooding across Western Europe, Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) announced today that it has committed more than $150,000 to assist with relief efforts to support recovery and rebuilding efforts, donating much-needed health care supplies to humanitarian and relief organizations, and supporting customers residing within the flood disaster areas.

To advance this effort, the Henry Schein Cares Foundation established a 2021 Disaster Relief Fund. The Company and the Foundation are supporting the Fund with a $75,000 donation, of which $50,000 will be donated to Aktion Deutschland Hilft and $25,000 to International Medical Corps. In addition, the Company will match employee – known as Team Schein Members – contributions (up to $25,000) and has committed $75,000 worth of product to relief organisations.

“Team Schein has long been committed to supporting disaster preparedness and recovery, and we are working with our supplier and logistic partners to provide local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) the resources they need to support the western European communities devastated by the flooding,” said Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Schein, Inc. “We are committed to assisting our Team Schein Members and NGO partners in rebuilding and recovery efforts, and we will continue to help our affected customers get back on their feet, personally and professionally.”

Acting with great compassion, and within the first days of the flooding, the local Henry Schein team in Germany launched a Team Schein-driven fundraising campaign that was subsequently matched by the Company, including product donations to immediately support the community recovery. The cash and in-kind donations were given by Henry Schein in Germany to Aktion Deutschland Hilft as well as to Caritas Westeifel e.V. and Heimatverein Alt-Ahrweiler e.V., two local NGOs assisting with relief efforts across Germany.
