BioHorizons Camlog presents biomaterials campaign and marks milestone anniversaries at this year’s EAO in Milan

BioHorizons Camlog will showcase its regenerative biomaterials portfolio through its “The Art of Regeneration” campaign and introduces the Tapered Pro Conical, the company’s latest dental implant to the European market. Attendees can look forward to insightful workshops and sessions, providing information on regenerative techniques and first steps with implants.

BioHorizons Camlog will showcase at the 2024 European Association of Osseointegration Congress (EAO) in Milan from 24 to 26 October 2024.

The company is committed to making a real difference in patients’ lives and establishing itself as a brand that dental professionals can rely on. Whilst BioHorizons marks its 30 years anniversary, Camlog celebrates 25 years of serving dental professionals with continuous innovation, expertise and dedication in the field of implant dentistry. Bianka Wilson, Co-CEO of BioHorizons Camlog stated: “We are proud to celebrate this milestone and extend our heartfelt thanks to our highly committed team, valued customers, and long-standing partners across the globe. Each one is a testament to the hard work, passion, and advancements that have guided BioHorizons Camlog on this remarkable journey.” A highlight of BioHorizons Camlog’s presence at the EAO is the company’s “Art of Regeneration” campaign, which features the biomaterials portfolio in a very aesthetic way. The campaign illustrates how these innovative biomaterials are transforming the process of regeneration into a form of art, serving the artists, i.e., the clinicians, who craft new smiles every day. In the DACH region, this campaign will be launched in 2025.

In line with the campaign, BioHorizons Camlog will hold two workshops at the event. These will focus on regeneration:

On Thursday, 24 October 2024, 03:15 – 17:30., Dr Luca de Stavola from Italy will speak about regenerative techniques with hard and soft tissue solutions. The workshop aims to define bone augmentation and soft tissue augmentation strategies considering also the value of substitute hard and soft tissues in many clinical applications. The didactic hands-on exercises will involve soft tissue augmentation around teeth and implants on animal jaws and bone vertical augmentation on customized models.

On Friday, 25October 2024, 09:00 – 11:30. Prof. Hom-Lay Wang from the USA will talk about regeneration of peri-implantitis intraosseous defects via a submerged GBR approach. This workshop focuses on managing peri-implant defects, which pose a significant challenge for dentists involved in implant placement. Participants will be trained to use a newly introduced SMRT™ (Scaffold Matrix Regenerative Therapy) process collagen membrane, which preserves the collagen structure without crosslinking or chemical modification. The hands-on exercises will be performed on customised models.

In addition, BioHorizons Camlog will host the “My First Implant Session” from 08:30 – 13:30 on Thursday, 24October 2024, with Dr Joao Pitta and Michael Knackmuss. The session will cover the basics of implant placement and restoration, with a focus on practical skills and patient management. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced clinicians and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and educational environment.
