Bone regeneration is an important part of daily implant therapy. In many cases soft tissue augmentation is a significant part of the treatment since it impacts strongly the esthetic outcome. The aim of this workshop is to define bone augmentation and soft tissue augmentation strategies considering also the value of substitute tissues (hard and soft) in many clinical applications. The didactic hands-on exercises will involve soft tissue augmentation around teeth and implants on animal jaws and bone vertical augmentation on customized models.

Regeneration of periimplantitis infraosseous defects via a submerged GBR approach

Implant complications pose a significant challenge for dentists involved in implant placement. This hands-on exercise aims to train participants in the newly developed «EP-DDS protocol - submerged GBR approach» for managing peri-implant defects. Specifically, a newly introduced SMRT™ process collagen membrane, which preserves the collagen structure without crosslinking or chemical modification, will be utilized for regeneration. Hands-on exercises will be performed on customized models.
