Soft-tissue Augmentation and Corrections for the Prevention and Management of Peri-Implant Disease

Soft-tissue augmentation has become an essential measure for both the prevention and management of peri-implant disease. This mainly refers to the establishment of an adequate width of keratinized tissue to provide a mechanical protection against plaque biofilms, but also soft tissue volume augmentation to compensate the occurrence of mucosal recessions following surgical treatment of peri-implantitis.
